Having once been a Sierra Club group leader / conservation activist, it is sad to witness what has happened to that club in the 3 decades since. Sad, too, that it reflects the state of most of the largest / national 'conservation' organizations. Some seem every bit as compromised by corporate cash as the politicians they once had the courage to stand up to; or by partisan mania.
