Trump's First 100 Days - A “Long Train of Abuses and Usurpations”
A Fascist Tyrant Who Must Go Now!
I just started to read Peter Baker’s NY Times “analysis” of Trump’s first 100 days and got so disgusted I had to stop.
So I submitted the following “reader comment” (expanded upon here), which I doubt they will post.
Let it serve as my brief “analysis” of Trump’s “long train of abuses and usurpations”:
"Trump is a petty tyrant playing to a base of White Christian nationalists and many, including himself, with explicit fascist, racist, misogynistic, xenophobic, and eugenicist tendencies. He himself has said he wants to be a dictator and is now openly calling for Trump 2028 in flagrant violation of the Constitution.
He has done enormous damage to the US credibility in the world; killed USAID and blocked US humanitarian assistance which will kill millions of people throughout the world; violated the human rights of migrants; continued US support of genocide of the Palestinians by Israel; dismantled the US government; damaged the economy; put us on the path of climate suicide; attacked universities, academic freedom, the Courts, the media, and the legal profession; defied Court Orders (including the Supreme Court); defunded science and environmental and public health programs; erased history; created a national educational indoctrination program; established a “Ministry Of Culture”; repeatedly LIED; made the White House the home of an “alternative media” propaganda operation the envy of Goebbels; censored free speech and flagrantly crushed 1st, 5th and 14 amendment rights; presided over the most corrupt administration ever; violated and made a joke of the Emoluments clause; weaponized the Justice department, the FBI, and the entire federal government to attack his political opponents and seek vengeance and retribution; created an illegal parallel government run by a criminal billionaire (DOGE); destroyed longstanding democratic and legal doctrines of judicial review, separation of powers, voting rights, civil rights, and due process; arrogated and usurped Congressional and judicial powers; and issued Executive Orders that blatantly violate the Constitution and statute.
He must not be allowed to fully consolidate a fascist government.
