Anti-Democratic And Pro Dictator Tech Bro's Will Control Voter Rolls
We need to set this story up with some context.
If you haven't fully grasped just how twisted Elon Musk and his Tech-Bro's are and the radical right wing antidemocratic ideas they embrace, read this absolutely superb Wall Street Journal article:

Yarvin’s writing caught the attention of the new right, including Vance, who praised his idea for eliminating the “administrative state” on a podcast in 2021. “I’m sympathetic to that project,” the vice president said at the time. The same year, Yarvin bantered on a podcast with Michael Anton, now the director of policy planning in Trump’s State Department, about how a president might seize more power.
Yarvin’s school of thought has been called the “Dark Enlightenment” or the neo-reactionary movement.
Once again, we were way out in front of the story. Last July, before the election, I warned about this fascist Curtis Yarvin:

I'm aware of significant media focus and public criticism of the work of Elon Musk's DOGE tech-bro's, particularly with respect to access to sensitive personal data that could be used for nefarious purposes, but I haven't seen anything that exposes the Trump Executive Order that gives DOGE control over elections.
Read this recent Trump Executive Order:
(iii) the Department of Homeland Security, in coordination with the DOGE Administrator, shall review each State’s publicly available voter registration list and available records concerning voter list maintenance activities as required by 52 U.S.C. 20507, alongside Federal immigration databases and State records requested, including through subpoena where necessary and authorized by law, for consistency with Federal requirements.
Does this mean that DOGE can effectively purge voter rolls?
Keep in mind that DOGE was behind the Big Lie that millions of people over 150 years old were collecting Social Security - and falsely declared that millions of living people were dead.
I can't imagine putting DOGE, Elon Musk, and his twisted Tech-Bro's in charge of elections, particularly given their self expressed anti-democratic pro-fascist ideology.
How the hell did I miss this Executive Order and new electoral role for DOGE ?
Was I asleep, or has the media not reported it?
(and there is a LOT of really bad other shit in that Executive Order that makes the problem of voter suppression even worse)
It was covered Bill, but not focused on, the tariff wars and stock market plunge pushing it out of the way for emphasis. Given the long known historical record of Republicans purging voter registration rolls, going back to Florida but beyond, it is a real threat. And when would we learn of the details: when voters go to vote and found out they have a "new" status, or none at all?
