Philadelphia Hands Off
I’m having technical difficulties in downloading my photos, so thought I’d post this excellent shot of the parade from City Hall down market Street to Independence Mall (source: Michael Moore’s email).
Great crowd, great signs, nice people.
Good mix of younger people, but disappointed that climate and the environment were practically invisible, as were anti-Fascist messages.
I hope this is just the beginning of a growing movement and not a one off (or get hijacked by Democrats or electoral strategies).
It will take sustained resistance and solidarity to force Trump out.
I'm wondering whether there were any HANDS-OFF our "first amendment right to free speech" signs there... like, for instance, our right to free speech, to protest, the US's genocide, via Israel, of the Palestinian people, or our right to protest the eternal war machine in general, like the US-Russia war (which is exactly what it really is, but using Ukraine as a proxy, and human body fodder) which the U.S. absolutely started. I'll have to see if I can dig up some more detailed photos to look over.
