You have been writing about the connection of wildlife, water, forest management and most importantly water before the disaster hit the fan this week in California. California always gets dry/wet spells, and heavy winds it is so sad that they do not have someone knowledgeable that could have planned and implemented methods to lessen the disaster before it occurred. The destruction of homes & forest everything under toxic fumes it is sickening. Though you have pointed out things in NJ, the governor still gets away with lip service. Cannot predict fires, but one would think better forest management and working fire hydrants could have lessened the destruction. This is way out of my wheelhouse, but the news flashes you sent out this year before and during the NJ drought and then fires made common sense. Too bad you are not a freelance consultant to California as they need a pair of outside eyes that has your background, people with the knowledge not afraid to speak out and share information. Thanks for keeping an eye on NJ (can lead a horse to water but cannot make him drink)
