Jersey gonna' Jersey. I remember it as the state the criminals in NYC would move over to when things got too hot. And I've been witness to the court system there, especially in the estate process. What a wonderfully syncopated symphony of corruption that is! Little aside, in the early 90's, Pasadena, CA waa dealing with contamination in four of of the municipal wells from which 60% of their water came from. Later, Pasedena claimed the chemicals had migrated to more wells, from decades of dumping by the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, which was stonewalling them, over paying for the equipment necessary to remove it. I worked with the ex-partner of one of the city principals involved in the negotiations. They told me one day that their ex had reached the point where knowing what the population was being exposed to, they no longer could tolerate it and the told JPL, that if they didn't come up with the millions in payments for temporary decontamination equipment, they were calling 60 Minutes that day to reveal all. It worked. At the time the environmental damage was estimated by my co-workers ex to be $25 million. In 1992 the EPA declared the 176 acre JPL property a Superfund site. NASA didn't start on a permanent plant until 2004 and didn't break ground until 2009. In 2007, NASA issued a report which disputed JPL's liability. In 2021, Pasadena filed suit against esteemed Caltech which operates the lab. In January 2022, 32 years after my co-worker's revelation, the GAO issued a report stating the remaining environmental damage was $56.1 million. 32 years after my co-workers revelation. And that, is our own federal givernment's behavior when confronted. And Pasadena, is one of 14 sites NASA's activities contaminated, with total liabilities estimated to be $1.9 billion as of 2021. In that same GAO report: "JPL, according to the report, was described by NASA officials as “the agency’s highest-priority center because contaminated groundwater migrated off-site to local drinking water sources.”

And that's the way our own Federal Government and it's crony contractors treat us. Fugget about New Jersey.

PS: If you are interested, I have an ongoing untold Jersey illegal tree removal story much larger than the one which went viral last year, but seemingly in limbo, though citations were issued.

The private estate - within and outside the US - of Murphy DEP - needs some investigation. Where and how much is the bribe he has clearly been paid? Caring not a whit for the public health of citizens of NJ. I do like SamAsIAm's shocking story below - like is not the word - because it too is so shocking and cavalier of citizen's health. No wonder the life span of people in the US is so much lower than of other so-called First World countries - and of course, generally-speaking - little public health care provision - that adds to the lower life span as well.
