Begins with a pretty standard take, but, around 15 minutes in, in response to the question about identity politics, Sandel generates one of the more astute analyses I've come across - particularly his analysis of the role of markets and government, the effects of the erosion of the Nation State, the relationships between cultural and economic politics, and the civic dimensions of "freedom". Bizarre titling. Sandel actually criticizes what he calls the "center left", by which he seems to mean Clinton/Obama/Biden. So...by any realistic measure the "center slightly right". Here's a clue: if major corporations embrace your "radical" idea and an entrepreneurial professional priesthood can be established around it, that idea is not even slightly "left".
