No Kings Day Violence Is Inevitable
Hours away from tomorrow’s No Kings protests in Washington DC, all major US cities, and 2,500 other places in the US, I’ll just post troubling conclusions from the decision of the US Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals that blocked Trump’s deployment of National Guard troops in Chicago.
The Circuit Court upheld the District Court’s decision that found that there was no “rebellion” in Chicago. The current reality did NOT reflect Trump’s grossly exaggerated and false depiction of it.
But, the Court concluded that opinion with this interesting speculative caveat:
“it is possible that events could transpire” (i.e. to create real on the ground violent conditions of rebellion that would justify Trump’s National Guard deployments).
“Events could transpire”? WTF! Why the hell would they write that?
This obviously INVITES violence.
Already, the Trump ICE/DHS fascist street thugs are using video crews to create false images of violent “rebellion”.
Tomorrow, they may manufacture the real thing:
